It’s not too late to grab your tickets for the 2019 Huck Finn Jubilee, but camping is selling out quickly.
Here are six reasons you should not miss out on this year’s Huck Finn Jubilee:
The 2019 Huck Finn Jubilee Boasts Top-Tier Musical Acts
Huck Finn Jubilee has always maintained a balance of internationally known top-tier talent along with the best local and up-and-coming artists on the scene. The 2019 Jubilee is no exception.
Railroad Earth heads the 2019 lineup, which also features Steep Canyon Rangers, The California Honeydrops, Lindsay Lou, Dustbowl Revival, The Sweet Lillies and Cubensis.
Railroad Earth has maintained their position as a festival headliner for many years, drawing a huge crowd of dedicated fans to each of their shows. Featuring unparalleled musicianship and songwriting, with the ability to jam and play bluegrass along with the best, Railroad Earth puts on a show that is an event not to be missed.
Grammy Award-winning Steep Canyon Rangers have been turning heads since their inception in 2000. Now recognized as leaders of the bluegrass/Americana scene, they continue to bend the parameters of these genres into their own unique style. Their most recent release “Be Still Moses,” even features the Asheville Symphony and 90’s R&B icons Boyz II Men!
When acts like The California Honeydrops and Dustbowl Revival join a festival lineup, a dance party is sure to follow. Both of these California-native bands captivate audiences with high energy, eclectic and down-right funky live performances. With mixtures of strings and horns, engaging lead vocals and unique original compositions, both the California Honeydrops and Dustbowl Revival are sure to bring the party to Huck Finn Jubilee!
Along with this impressive list of headlining talent, Huck Finn Jubilee will also be treated to performances by The Get Down Boys, Water Tower, Out of the Desert, MohaviSoul, The Devil’s Box String Band, Hot October, Honey Buckets and The Huck Finn House Party.
The Huck Finn Lineup will also feature the 2019 Battle of the Bands Winner. This year’s Battle was billed as “Beachgrass vs. Valleygrass,” featuring several contests to determine the 2019 winner who will appear on the main stage of the festival. L.A. folk band, The Storytellers, has already secured the “Valleygrass” title, and awaits their competition from the beach. Next up, Mother’s Tavern in Sunset Beach, CA will be hosting the Beachgrass Battle of the Bands on September 14 & 15 to determine who will go head-to-head against The Storytellers in this epic showdown.
Bring the Kids: Lil’ Huckers Kid Zone and Living Folklore
Festival owners Nikki and Roger have two Lil’ Huckers of their own, and upon purchasing the festival, they vowed to maintain the welcoming environment for music lovers of all ages.
As part of this commitment to creating a festival for the entire family, Huck Finn Jubilee is free to children under 12. Huck Finn Jubilee encourages children of all ages to love, create, and share their own unique music and art.
Lil’ Huckers will love hanging at the KID ZONE which has a daily schedule of performances, workshops, face painting and more. This year, the KIDS ZONE will feature Living Folklore, a kid-focused production group featuring giant puppets, stilt-walkers, shows and other activities. Living Folklore has been a favorite at Telluride Bluegrass Festival for over 20 years and they promise to make this year’s Jubilee interactive and epic for kids and families.
Don’t miss the daily Giant Puppet Parades. Wave your flags and umbrellas, pick out a costume, and encourage the whole family to join in. This year, the parade’s theme is Alice in Wonderland, and the giant puppets and costumes will have the entire family jumping down the rabbit hole!
Giant Games are another favorite Huck Finn activity, featuring larger-than-life versions of your favorite childhood games. Challenge your friends and family to a round of giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, or join in on a rousing round of Ultimate Twister.
Participate in the daily Family Yoga classes, and truly balance your festival experience. Start your day with some sun salutations to get you ready to dance the night away.
The 1st Annual “Artsy Hucker”: A Live Art Competition
Live art has become a popular addition to live music, and always a festival highlight for Jubilee attendees. This year, Huck Finn celebrates the art of live-music painting, drawing and sculpting with their newly added “Artsy Husker of the Year” Competition.
All live artists will have a designated spot to work their magic. There will be a panel of judges that will survey the final master pieces and choose the most Artsy Hucker of the year!

About Huck Finn Jubilee:
The Huck Finn Jubilee has been a California staple since 1976 when it was established at Mojave Narrows in Victorville. Featuring bluegrass and Americana giants such as Del McCoury, Ralph Stanley, Emmylou Harris, Alison Krauss and more, the festival received international recognition and enjoyed a faithful following.
In 2014, Huck Finn Jubilee moved to its current home in Ontario, California. After 2 years, the city of Ontario discontinued the festival in 2016. It was then rescued by the current owners, Roger and Nikki, who fell in love with the festival after attending in 2016. After a transitional year off, Huck Finn Jubilee returned to Ontario under the new ownership in 2018.
Roger and Nikki aim to honor the tradition of Huck Finn Jubilee while ensuring its future, striving to curate a festival that will endure for many generations of “Huckers.”

GOCO Hospitality, the dedicated global wellness consulting, development, and management company, continues the revitalization of Glen Ivy Hot Springs to create the ultimate West Coast wellness destination. Reopening late January 2022 following a $2.5 million property-wide enhancement project, Glen Ivy Hot Springs welcomed a new General Manager, Hervé Blondel, whose most recent role was General Manager at the internationally acclaimed Rancho La Puerta, fitness resort and spa in Mexico, to further enhance the guest experience.
“Strong leadership is the key to Glen Ivy Hot Springs’ continued growth and development,” commented Ingo Schweder, CEO of GOCO Hospitality and Glen Ivy Hot Springs. “Hervé’s 30 years of experience at top wellness destinations complements GOCO’s expert leadership team of multidisciplinary professionals.”
Hervé Blondel joins GOCO Hospitality’s team of seasoned, global wellness experts with decades of experience at the most exclusive resorts worldwide. Prior to founding GOCO Hospitality, Ingo Schweder was co-owner and head of development at award-winning destination wellness resort, Ananda in the Himalayas. Glen Ivy Hot Springs is no exception to post-pandemic growth. Southern California’s iconic and leading wellness destination saw membership and gift card sales rise by 50% from 2019 to 2021. The increase is attributed to the consumers’ commitment to outdoor wellness and the benefits of thermal mineral water as an increasing part of daily routines, as well as an interest in sharing the experience with others through the pandemic.
The Glen Ivy Hot Springs $2.5 million renovations included the re-engineering of eleven historic mineral springs, as well as upgrades and enhancements of pool decks and pool facilities, in the guest reception area, treatment facilities, the Bath House, the Ivy Kitchen and gardens, which are a part of the 18-acre Glen Ivy organic farm.

Magazine’s second annual Inc. 5000 Regionals: Pacific list, which recognizes the fastest-growing private companies in California, Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington. As part of the annual Inc. 5000 franchise, this regional list provides a look at the Pacific Coast’s most successful privately owned businesses.
“It’s a privilege to be honored amongst the most successful private companies within the Pacific Region as we continue to focus on ways to introduce our urban winery experience to new communities across the country,” said Ken Lineberger, president and CEO of Waters Edge Wineries. “Over the last two years, we have opened five new wineries and have signed on an additional X. We look forward to welcoming aspiring entrepreneurs who are passionate about wine into the world of franchising!”
As an emerging franchise concept, the Waters Edge Winery & Bistro model is ideal for entrepreneurs passionate about wine who seek a way to share their love and knowledge without being in the agriculture business. offering bistro-style artisanal selections including appetizers, flatbreads, sandwiches, salads and desserts, custom bottle labeling as personalized gifts, private tasting areas for groups, a wine club and more. Franchise owners receive comprehensive training on the micro-winery tank system and are provided with pre-opening training courses, both hands-on and classroom based, to help prepare for the launch of their winery. The company also offers social media and marketing support to help franchise owners realize success.
“This year’s Inc. 5000 Regional winners represent one of the most exceptional and exciting lists of America’s off-the-charts growth companies. They’re disrupters and job creators, and all delivered an outsize impact on the economy. Remember their names and follow their lead. These are the companies you’ll be hearing about for years to come,” says Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. Magazine.
The companies on this list show a remarkable rate of growth across all industries in the Pacific.
