on

(Press Release) Ontario, CA – The 42nd Annual Huck Finn Jubilee will take place  September 27 & 28, 2019 at the beautiful Cucamonga-Gausti Regional Park in Ontario, California.  With an incredible lineup of bands, the addition of more kid-focused entertainment, and the first ever live art competition, this year’s festival promises to create a memorable experience for all who attend.

It’s not too late to grab your tickets for the 2019 Huck Finn Jubilee, but camping is selling out quickly.

Here are six reasons you should not miss out on this year’s Huck Finn Jubilee:

The 2019 Huck Finn Jubilee Boasts Top-Tier Musical Acts

Huck Finn Jubilee has always maintained a balance of internationally known top-tier talent along with the best local and up-and-coming artists on the scene.  The 2019 Jubilee is no exception.

Railroad Earth heads the 2019 lineup, which also features Steep Canyon Rangers, The California Honeydrops, Lindsay Lou, Dustbowl Revival, The Sweet Lillies and Cubensis.

Railroad Earth has maintained their position as a festival headliner for many years, drawing a huge crowd of dedicated fans to each of their shows.  Featuring unparalleled musicianship and songwriting, with the ability to jam and play bluegrass along with the best, Railroad Earth puts on a show that is an event not to be missed.

Grammy Award-winning Steep Canyon Rangers have been turning heads since their inception in 2000.  Now recognized as leaders of the bluegrass/Americana scene, they continue to bend the parameters of these genres into their own unique style.  Their most recent release “Be Still Moses,” even features the Asheville Symphony and 90’s R&B icons Boyz II Men!

When acts like The California Honeydrops and Dustbowl Revival join a festival lineup, a dance party is sure to follow.  Both of these California-native bands captivate audiences with high energy, eclectic and down-right funky live performances.  With mixtures of strings and horns, engaging lead vocals and unique original compositions, both the California Honeydrops and Dustbowl Revival are sure to bring the party to Huck Finn Jubilee!

Along with this impressive list of headlining talent, Huck Finn Jubilee will also be treated to performances by The Get Down Boys, Water Tower, Out of the Desert, MohaviSoul, The Devil’s Box String Band, Hot October, Honey Buckets and The Huck Finn House Party.

The Huck Finn Lineup will also feature the 2019 Battle of the Bands Winner.  This year’s Battle was billed as “Beachgrass vs. Valleygrass,” featuring several contests to determine the 2019 winner who will appear on the main stage of the festival.  L.A. folk band, The Storytellers, has already secured the “Valleygrass” title, and awaits their competition from the beach.  Next up, Mother’s Tavern in Sunset Beach, CA will be hosting the Beachgrass Battle of the Bands on September 14 & 15 to determine who will go head-to-head against The Storytellers in this epic showdown.

Bring the Kids:  Lil’ Huckers Kid Zone and Living Folklore

Festival owners Nikki and Roger have two Lil’ Huckers of their own, and upon purchasing the festival, they vowed to maintain the welcoming environment for music lovers of all ages.

As part of this commitment to creating a festival for the entire family, Huck Finn Jubilee is free to children under 12.  Huck Finn Jubilee encourages children of all ages to love, create, and share their own unique music and art.

Lil’ Huckers will love hanging at the KID ZONE which has a daily schedule of performances, workshops, face painting and more.  This year, the KIDS ZONE will feature Living Folklore, a kid-focused production group featuring giant puppets, stilt-walkers, shows and other activities.  Living Folklore has been a favorite at Telluride Bluegrass Festival for over 20 years and they promise to make this year’s Jubilee interactive and epic for kids and families.

Don’t miss the daily Giant Puppet Parades. Wave your flags and umbrellas, pick out a costume, and encourage the whole family to join in.   This year, the parade’s theme is Alice in Wonderland, and the giant puppets and costumes will have the entire family jumping down the rabbit hole!

Giant Games are another favorite Huck Finn activity, featuring larger-than-life versions of your favorite childhood games.  Challenge your friends and family to a round of giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, or join in on a rousing round of Ultimate Twister.

Participate in the daily Family Yoga classes, and truly balance your festival experience.  Start your day with some sun salutations to get you ready to dance the night away.

The 1st Annual “Artsy Hucker”:  A Live Art Competition

Live art has become a popular addition to live music, and always a festival highlight for Jubilee attendees.  This year, Huck Finn celebrates the art of live-music painting, drawing and sculpting with their newly added “Artsy Husker of the Year” Competition.

All live artists will have a designated spot to work their magic.  There will be a panel of judges that will survey the final master pieces and choose the most Artsy Hucker of the year!

The Winner will receive Complimentary VIH Tickets to 2020 Huck Finn Jubilee, inclusion on future Special Edition- Artist Series merchandise AND…Lots and lots of love, gratitude and R.E.S.P.E.C.T!

Connect.  Gather.  Grow.

Huck Finn Jubilee is more than a music festival.  It’s a gathering, a community, a movement.

It’s a place where family and friends can gather for a weekend to dance, play, explore and grow – and leave feeling blessed, connected and grateful.  The Huck Finn Family hopes to keep music and art alive in Southern California for many more years to come.

About Huck Finn Jubilee:

The Huck Finn Jubilee has been a California staple since 1976 when it was established at Mojave Narrows in Victorville.  Featuring bluegrass and Americana giants such as Del McCoury, Ralph Stanley, Emmylou Harris, Alison Krauss and more, the festival received international recognition and enjoyed a faithful following.

In 2014, Huck Finn Jubilee moved to its current home in Ontario, California.  After 2 years, the city of Ontario discontinued the festival in 2016.  It was then rescued by the current owners, Roger and Nikki, who fell in love with the festival after attending in 2016.  After a transitional year off, Huck Finn Jubilee returned to Ontario under the new ownership in 2018.

Roger and Nikki aim to honor the tradition of Huck Finn Jubilee while ensuring its future, striving to curate a festival that will endure for many generations of “Huckers.”

Southern California wine country gets another stylish culinary option, offering beautifully designed, hand-crafted grazing boards and picnic boxes

Graze Craze® has opened a new location close to the wine country of Southern California, where its artfully arranged sweet and savory grazing boards and boxes create a perfect pairing for food lovers. Located at 24530 Village Walk Place, Suite C, in Village Walk Plaza, the 1,021-square-foot store is owned and operated by disabled veteran Chris Stout and his wife, Stephanie Stout, with assistance from their teenage children.

At Graze Craze, highly trained experts known as Grazologists™ skillfully design charcuterie arrangements that feature an assortment of fine ingredients perfect for grazing, like fresh fruits and vegetables, premium meats and cheeses, artisanal sweets, nuts, house-made jams and more.

Chris Stout enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 2001 and served several deployments before being discharged in 2012. Since then, he has worked as a field service engineer for an electronics company and in manufacturing sales. Stephanie Stout has a bachelor’s degree in business accounting from the University of Phoenix and worked for an insurance broker before the couple’s first child was born; she then devoted herself full-time to raising their three children, who are now in high school.

Graze Craze charcuterie boards offer something for every lifestyle, dietary preference or palate and are available in a variety of size options to cater to any occasion, big or small. They incorporate a medley of flavors, like the fan-favorite Gone Grazey board, a perfectly balanced mix of cured meats, premium cheeses, crackers, fresh produce, nuts and more. The Vegegrazian is impeccably designed with a plethora of fresh fruits and vegetables for anyone embracing a plant-based lifestyle. Those with an undeniable sweet tooth can enjoy the Sweet & Grazey, a hand-crafted board featuring an abundance of delectable desserts like chocolates and baked goods paired with sweet dips to accent the irresistible flavors.

New to the Graze Craze menu is the Brunch Board, a gourmet and innovative twist on any morning routine. Packed with breakfast meats, fresh fruits, eggs, pastries and more, this board is the perfect bagel-and-donut brunch alternative. Grazers can also tackle watch-party cravings with a seasonal Game Day Board, featuring a feast of

crowd-pleasing ingredients, like peppered salami, Italian prosciutto, goat cheese, cranberry walnut bread, raspberry jam and chocolate bark, to name a few.

The artisan-inspired charcuterie offerings at Graze Craze are available in different size options, from Char-Cutie-Cups and Picnic Boxes for nibbling to sharing-size boards with enough fresh food to feed a large party. The food displays are ideal for elevating work meetings, family gatherings, lavish events and more, while they also make for memorable gifts that impress.

Besides sharing the flavorful menu with the area, the Stouts are actively involved in numerous local school, business and community organizations. The pair supports the Murrieta Valley High School Marching Band Boosters and California High School Rodeo Association District 8, in addition to the Boy Scouts of America California Inland Empire Council and Friends of Temecula Troop 309, where Christopher Stout is a part of the adult leadership team.
