Ontario Convention Center Congratulates Road to California

Annual convention held annually broke attendance records!

ONTARIO, California (Thursday, February 7, 2019)  Ontario Convention Center congratulates Road to California, the premier consumer quilt show West of the Rocky Mountains, on their 10% increase in attendance for the recent event hold January 24-27, 2019.  The official attendance number is 46,000 people who came from across our nation as well as globally from Japan, Germany, Holland, Australia, Canada, Spain, Netherlands, South Korea, New Zealand, and Sweden to name a few. Fabric artists look forward to the comradery, viewing the artwork, chatting with the vendors and the opportunity to participate in a competition awarding totaling more than $92,000.   Attendees are able to view exhibits featuring antique, traditional, art and modern quilts designed by both national and international quilt groups. A vibrant vendor mall of over 225 nationally and internationally known retailers feature the very latest to see, try and buy in quilt making supplies, machines, notions, antique quilts and gift items. Classes taught by a distinguished faculty are geared to all levels of quilters, offering assistance with traditional to modern techniques, hand and machine quilting skills and the latest in surface-embellishment using paint, thread and embroidery.

“We look forward to this annual event and enjoy welcoming visitors to the Ontario Convention Center and the Greater Ontario Region!” said Shannon Perry, General Manager of Ontario Convention Center.  “The artwork is displayed throughout the Center for several days giving us the opportunity to appreciate the talent of these fabric artists.”  The dates for January 2020 have already been penciled in to return to Ontario Convention Center January 23-26, 2020.
