Local High School Students Graduate from “Ignite” Summer Automotive Program

Three-week course offered jumpstart on exciting, high-demand careers in the automotive industry  

Rancho Cucamonga, CA. – Students from across the Inland Empire including San Bernardino City Unified School District, Chaffey Joint Union High School District, Rialto Unified School District, and more, crossed the stage at Universal Technical Institute in Rancho Cucamonga on Saturday, July 20. The celebration recognized the completion of a three-week course that introduced students to in-demand careers as auto technicians.

“We applaud these high school students for taking the initiative to spend their summer in our state-of-the-industry labs,” said Migdalia Vazquez-Valle, president of Universal Technical Institute’s Rancho Cucamonga campus. “This field requires dedication and these Ignite students show great potential for promising careers.”

Guided by seasoned instructors, Ignite students learned automotive basics and got hands-on to take apart and reassemble a working engine. The course concluded with a written exam to test their newfound knowledge.

One of dozens of graduating students receives a certificate of completion and congratulations from the Universal Technical Institute team.

The celebration was a family experience for students. This student was one of many supported by parents and extended family members on a special day.
