Mayor Warren to Present at U.S. Conference of Mayors Meeting
Fontana, Calif.– Mayor Acquanetta Warren is set to present at the U.S. Conference of Mayors meeting held on Monday, April 22 to Tuesday, April 23 in Houston, Texas. She will be discussing her Mayor’s Manufacturing Council with mayors from across the United States.
The Mayor’s Manufacturing Council was created in 2017 to facilitate dialogue between the manufacturing sector and Fontana leadership. The goal is to promote pathways for people to obtain the skills required to fill positions for today’s manufacturing jobs, thus creating Fontana Jobs to help not only our community, but our businesses as well.
Mayor Warren is the Chair of the U.S. Conference of Mayors Manufacturing and Career and Technical Education Task Force. The conference in Texas focuses on “Mayors and Workforce Board Leaders Meeting on Local Innovations in Preparing a Highly Skilled Workforce.”
