Four special events rolled into one day 

NEWS RELEASE — ONTARIO, California (Monday, December 9, 2019)  The Christmas on Euclid Experience, produced by the Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau, has been a tradition for thousands of visitors each year since 1922.  Families are delighted each year with the start of the Christmas on Euclid Experience in Ontario, California. Historic Euclid Avenue is transformed into a whimsical winter wonderland with block upon block of beautiful lights. This year we present all NEW twinkling exhibitions of festive lights and decorations that will be on display throughout the holiday season. 

On Saturday, December 14, 2019, the annual Christmas on Euclid craft fair and festival takes place from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Ontario Town Square located on historic Euclid Avenue.   Families are invited to enjoy the holiday market, craft fair, snow play, horse-drawn carriage rides, ice skating, live performances and so much more. 

NEW for 2019 is the relocation of the 5K Reindeer Run to Euclid Avenue. Starting at 7 am on December 14th, everyone is invited to a pancake breakfast by the Kiwanis Club, not only the participants but those that cheer them on will enjoy great food and excitement at the start of the race.  The race has evolved into a community and family event with over 2,500 participants and growing! The City of Ontario has joined efforts with the Ontario-Montclair Promise Scholars, an award-winning program designed to assist Ontario-Montclair youth by helping to prepare them in their journey towards a college education. All proceeds from the race will be donated to their program and the Youth Empowerment Scholarship (YES), which gives Ontario children from low-income families the opportunity to participate in Recreation programs and classes.

The family-friendly Rudolph’s Dash will begin at the Start/Finish line of the 5K Reindeer Run and end in the Rudolph’s Roundup children’s area. Kids can run or walk this shorter course, or families may participate together. Rudolph’s Dash is geared for younger kids, moms or dads with their strollers or anyone that wants to join the race on a smaller scale!

After the race, stay and enjoy the traditions of the Christmas on Euclid Experience. Shop local craft vendors for unique holiday items, while enjoying the many food booths and entertainment from local performers. The annual Craft Fair and Carnival at Ontario Town Square includes live music and dancing, family activities, vendors, food, and so much more from 10 am to 5 pm. The holiday-themed Christmas on Euclid Experience will offer ice skating, a zip-line, horse-drawn carriage rides, snow play and of course a visit with Santa.

The Inaugural Soap Box Derby will race down Euclid Avenue between “G” Street and “E” with the race starting at 11 am.  This is the first Holiday Rally Race and we look forward to welcoming visitors to our region to enjoy all of our Christmas on Euclid activities.

The Christmas on Euclid Experience, a non-profit organization, produced by the Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau, has been a tradition for thousands of visitors each year since 1922.    Free fun family events are planned at Ontario Town Square with live concerts, local dancers, Grammy award winning artists and more that bring visitors and the community together to enjoy the holidays.  The twinkling exhibition of festive lights and decorations are on display throughout the holiday season.  Families are delighted each year when the start of the holiday season is kicked off on the first weekend of December with the annual tree lighting ceremony at Ontario Town Square including holiday movies in the park, cookie decorating and a visit from Santa Claus. The second Saturday in December enjoy the all-day magical festival of craft vendors, carolers, snow play, carnival rides plus live music and entertainment when historic Euclid Avenue in Ontario, California is transformed into a whimsical winter wonderland with block upon block of family activities.   The iconic Euclid Avenue Nativity Scenes are on display from Thanksgiving thru News Years Day in January.  The twelve scenes have been a part of the community since 1958 and are free to view as you stroll along beautiful tree-lined Euclid Avenue in Ontario, California from “B” Street to “G” Street.
